Remembering 17-Year-Old Javonn Antonio Murray Following a Fatal House Fire in Florence, South Carolina
Javonn Antonio Murray, 17, died following a house fire on Diggs Avenue in Florence, South Carolina, on Saturday morning, October 31, 2026.
Firefighters found Javonn inside the residence, carried them outside, and placed them in the care of emergency medical personnel.
Medical personnel transported Javonn to McLeod Regional Medical Center, where officials pronounced them dead.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken confirmed the death, and an autopsy took place Monday morning, November 2, at the Medical University of South Carolina.
The State Law Enforcement Division, Florence Police Department, and Florence County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the circumstances, while the cause remains undisclosed.
